jresgu led the small-scale creative project JNR Dolls as project manager, creative director, and 3D modeler. Launched in 2023, the dolls were concepted, sculpted, and iteratively developed under his direction with team members, Nolan Adams and Reinier Medina. The project was later exhibited at the Stauffer Lounge gallery space on Arizona State University’s Tempe campus.

Meet Miao, QQ, and Shai

— a cultural doll trio inspired by the vibrant fusion of Asian-American identity and Gen Z aesthetics. Each character embodies a unique blend of diversity, trend, and personality.

This small-scale fabrication project was brought to life through a hands-on creative process using NomadSculpt on iPad for digital sculpting, resin 3D printing for physical production, and detailed finishing with airbrush painting. Every accessory was thoughtfully handmade to reflect each doll’s distinct style and story.

jresgu lovingly thanks Reinier Medina (graphic genius) and Nolan Adams (computer engineer) for their incredible collaboration in bringing JNR Dolls to life — a project named after the first initials of the creator trio. This creation wouldn’t have been possible without the shared heart, humor, and hustle they poured into every detail together.

Fun Fact: The JNR trio had just four months to bring JNR Dolls to reality— a project born from the ashes of a scrapped fashion styling video game. What started as a pivot quickly became a playful (and wildly fulfilling) creative adventure.
